A new chapter in life begins. And I, following my dreams of physical therapy, am moving away from the comforts of life in Seattle to a new type of comfort in Spokane. I get to do what I've always dreamed of, and with that comes a new level of excitement and purpose. Here, you'll get a peek into my pursuit of this dream, wherever it leads me...
I graduated from the University of Washington June 2005 with a degree in Neurobiology and a minor in Chemistry. I took the year off to volunteer my time at physical therapy clinics, apply to physical therapy school, and live in Brasil for 4 months, learning how to speak portuguese and getting to know my family better. Now that the year is up, and I've successfully been offered spots in many schools, I've chosen Eastern Washington University in Spokane. Hopefully in June of 2009 I'll be the proud receiver of a doctorate of physical therapy (DPT) and I'll get to take it one step further and work with Special Needs Kids in a clinical setting.
